History
Xoum is an independent digital publishing company founded in 2011 in Sydney, Australia, by publishing and design professionals David Henley, Jon MacDonald and Rod Morrison. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Xou Pty Ltd.
Xoum's founding members have worked for a variety of media organisations, both large and small--in sales, editorial, marketing and management--and collectively have over forty years' experience in the business.
Xoum's mission is to nurture Australian and New Zealand authors: to help them produce their very best work, and to distribute and promote this work internationally. To achieve this, Xoum uses the most up-to-date production and marketing technologies combined with traditional editorial, sales and publicity expertise. Xoum's authors come from all walks of life, but are united by two things: they are brilliant in their fields, and they exemplify Xoum's ethos of passion and integrity.
Xoum's publishing list comprises quality non-fiction and fiction for adults and children. We place an unashamed emphasis on entertainment and value for money. Xoum powers Seizure, a launchpad for some of our freshest and brightest talent, as well as Fantasica, the new home for the very best science fiction from around the world.
