Nebula Award nominated novella. The full title is On the Street of the Serpents or, The Assassination of Chairman Mao, as Effected by the Author in Seville, Spain, in the Spring of 1992, a Year of No Certain Historicity. It originally appeared in the anthology Science Fiction Emphasis 1 (1974), edited by David Gerrold. It can also be found in the collection Blooded on Arachne (1982).
