Synopsis
When the familiar and seemingly safe turns lethal, therein danger lies. These things draw shades." Silence Montane has broken all three rules on more than one occasion. This novella was originally published in the Georgre R. R. Martin and Gardner Dozois anthology Dangerous Women (2013). It is also included in Paula Guran's The Year's Best Dark Fantasy & Horror: 2014.
