Synopsis
A ship crash-lands on a planet covered entirely by sand. As the crew-members attempt to regain flight, they must struggle against the strange mesmerizing pull of the landscape.
This short story originally appeared in Weird Tales, Fall 1984 and was reprinted in Lightspeed, October 2010. It is included in the collection Skeleton Crew (1985) and can be found in the anthology Lightspeed: Year One (2011).
