Genes can be edited? I did not know that. Today I ran across an article on Gizmodo entitled "HIV Genes Successfully Edited Out of Immune Cells." This article explains a process that could be used to greatly improve human health in the future, which is of course wonderful news. And because I'm currently working my way through Darwin's Radio by Greg Bear, I felt like I understood the article just a little bit better than I would have otherwise.
