Member Posts: 12 | Hey everybody, I'll be hosting a podcast discussing the John W. Campbell novella Who Goes There, which has been adapted several times, including the 1951 The Thing (From Another World), the 1980s Kurt Russell film The Thing and the 2011(?) remake. I and my co-hosts have read the story and watched the first film, and we'll be watching the other two in the next couple of weeks, then recording our thoughts about all four "things." If you want to weigh in on which adaptation is the best, or what you thought of any of them, feel free to either comment here or send me an email at feedback at pavementpodcast.com or use our contact form. Regards, Seth (host of the Pavement Pounders Podcast, also known as Take Me To Your Reader)

Admin Posts: 4005 Location: Dallas, Texas | Seth, this sounds really interesting. The Thing is one of my favorite movies. Have you considered adding The Things by Peter Watts to your conversation? It's the same story but from the alien's perspective. Clarkesworld has the short and an audio version. It earned a lot of award noms back in 2010/2011 and is well worth the time. Thanks for the heads up! I'm looking forward to the discussion. For everyone else, here's a link to Take Me to Your Reader:
