I believe Luke Smitherd and his books deserve listing.
Just read 'In the Darkness, that's Where I'll know you'. And it's weird, to say the least :-)

Here's a listing off of Amazon of his books to date (physical books only):
The Stone Man - A Science Fiction Horror Novel
Kill Someone
How To Be A Vigilante: A Diary
In The Darkness, That's Where I'll Know You: The Complete Black Room Story
Weird. Dark.
The Physics of the Dead
A Head Full Of Knives - A Supernatural Mystery

I updated Lu's profile and added The Midnight Star.

Right now we limit graphic novels to stuff that is nominated for one of the awards we track and short fiction to stuff that is either available for free online or nominated for one the the major short fiction awards. I held of on those for the moment.

Warcross looks like something we could add from the synopsis but it has no cover yet. I'll put it on my list and add it a month or two prior to the publication date.

Hi MagicUnk, thanks for the update on Marie Lu's info.

Right now the Worlds Without End database does not cover:
  • graphic novels, unless nominated for an award we cover
  • kindle-only stories, unless nominated for an award we cover or from a short-fiction venue we cover
  • self-published books such as Smitherd's
Please check the FAQ for more detailed information on which works can be added to the database.

Thanks!

Sable Aradia - 2017-02-25 5:45 PM Could you please start adding the James Axler Deathlands books? If you're not up to doing all of them right now, the one I am currently reading is Red Holocaust (Book 2). Thanks!

This is going to take a while by Rhondak101 has started on it.

Can the latest novella in the Penric & Desdemona series by Lois McMaster Bujold be added? It is called Mira's Last Dance.

I know it is only out as an ebook, but the rest of the series is in. Plus it's Lois McMaster Bujold!!

That series qualifies as an exception to the normal criteria, because the first Novella in it was a Hugo Finalist.

I was hoping to get it into the WWEnd database last night (I've already bought it, and am looking forward to reading it, too), but didn't get the chance. If no one else does it first, I'll have it in for you about 24 hours from now.

I added the first four and put the rest on the to do list. They will be added at a later date.

I prefer not to enter books too far ahead of the publication date. You'd be surprised how many books are not actually published on the announced date. The Ashby book for instance, was originally supposed to appear in November 2016. And don't even get me started on the mess Amazon makes of release dates.

Hi, 's me again.

Any chance you could add Silverwolf (Rowankind #2) by Jacey Bedford? It's the sequel to Winterwood.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi NIN22, and Welcome!

This book is already in the database under the title The Domains of Koryphon, but the title you were looking for had not been included as its alternate title (I have now fixed that). Enjoy!

I'm going to be jumping on a couple of those myself. I really enjoyed Fortune's Nova, and the Helmreich and Lamb books sound really intriguing.

I've pulled the synopsis, Kindle number, publishers, and dates for all these books. Tomorrow I'll fetch the covers. Several of them have new authors, so I'll have to get info for them as well, but I'll try to have these in for you within 48 hours.

Would it be possible to add The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry? It is not in the ISFDB database but is listed as being of genre interest here --> http://www.locusmag.com/News/2017/03/2017-baileys-womens-prize-long... Also, reviews I have read describe it as being gothic and containing mythic beasts.

Thanks!

We'll take Locus' word on it. It's in.
