Well, this is a quiet thread!

Okay, so I just decided at the last minute to join this challenge because I intend to read quite a few books that qualify for it (but we'll see if I succeed, this being October already). The ones I have read thus far are:

Voyager in Night by C.J. Cherryh (a truly weird but fascinating book, unlike anything else I've read; I'm not sure how Cherryh has slipped through the cracks but she doesn't get nearly as much respect and attention as she deserves, IMO).
Sheepfarmer's Daughter by Elizabeth Moon
Medalon by Jennifer Fallon

The ones I'm planning to read are:

Becoming Alien by Rebecca Ore
CrashCourse by Wilhelmina Baird
A Feast of Crows by George R.R. Martin
The Forge of God by Greg Bear
Hades' Daughter by Sara Douglass
Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand by Samuel R. Delany
Witch World by Andre Norton

I guess I need to come up with two more.
