Hi

I was wondering if this site would expand further and cover awards like Hugos Lodestar award for young adult or are new award/lists on hold until 3.x are launched?

Is it possible to see which awards/lists are in the pipeline?

Thanks for this great and addictive site

I don't think we'll ever stop expanding our awards and lists on the site but yes, we are generally waiting for WWEnd 3.Oh! to launch before we add more. A lot of the awards or extended categories for current awards are short fiction and the live site does not handle coverless works very well. Another reason to wait is that stuff we do on the current site has to be done again on the new one so we'd just be making more work for ourselves. Also, doing those things on the new site takes time away from new development. Which is really happening even if nobody can see it.

The good news is that a great deal of the data for the upcoming awards is already in the database. Our Ubers have been adding books and authors specifically for those new awards and we try to keep those updated as new ones come out in our big ass additions to WWEnd spreadsheet. Here is what we have in the works already and I'd say they are around 80-90% complete in our database:

  1. ASTOUNDING - new author
  2. AUREALIS - YA
  3. CRAWFORD - novel
  4. DITMAR - novel
  5. DRAGON AWARD - SF Novel
  6. DRAGON AWARD - F Novel
  7. DRAGON AWARD - H Novel
  8. EUGIE AWARD - short story
  9. HEINLEIN AWARD
  10. HUGO - novella
  11. HUGO - novelette
  12. HUGO - short story
  13. HUGO - related work
  14. JULIUS VOGEL - novel
  15. LOCUS - anthology
  16. LOCUS - collection
  17. LODESTAR - YA novel
  18. NEBULA - novella
  19. NEBULA - novelette
  20. NEBULA - short story
  21. NOMMO - novella
  22. SIDEWISE
  23. STURGEON
  24. SUNBURST - novel
  25. SUNBURST - YA
  26. WFA - short fiction
  27. WFA - long fiction/novella

That's a lot of new awards and we have a boat load more lists coming too.
