Location: Austin, Tx		I finished 1954 - Childhood's End by Arthur C Clarke. Even though I can't say that I enjoyed the book much I am glad to have read it. It seems like the type of book that has endured because it has something important to say. I do wish that Mr Clarke had not fiddled with the opening chapter. I read both versions and the original fits with the book so much better.
