Still very much readable. Still feels realistic (if you remember the Cold War).
If anything is wrong with this book it might not be apocalyptic enough. Most people are decent and trying to do the right thing. Society does not break down. Food and water shortages are far less severe than they might be.
Nevertheless... absolutely chilling.
Highly recommended.
