Ancillary Mercy is a great book. Ann Leckie continues her phenomenal world building started in Ancillary Justice and Ancillary Sword and we even get to spend prolonged periods of time with another Presger Translator, Zeiat, who is probably my favorite character in the book. What I really appreciate is Leckie's attention to the emotionally complex states of her characters. Her characters are complicated, their emotions convoluted, like we humans really are; and the Radch are, above all else, very human. While this third (and final?) book of the series doesn't leave everything tied up in a nice, neat bow, it certainly does leave the universe wide open for further mining.
