I found Museum of the Weird to be an uneven collection, although lopsided might be a better word for it. Most of the stories never really got off the ground, but there were two spectacular stories that salvaged the book, and that made me keep Gray on my list of authors to read more of.

Her writing style is quite surreal, reminding me of Karen Russell and Aimee Bender. A number of the stories were on the far end of the surrealistic spectrum, verging on absurdism, but, thankfully, not the all-out absurdism of Daniil Kharms. So, not for everyone, but some will find Gray worth checking out.
