I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The basics of the novel are an isolated Texas town that the residents believe is post-nuclear war. They are trapped in a 'bubble' by well-meaning aliens whose motives are unclear to the humans. This obviously causes a lot of stress on the people of Coomey and in the course of a murder investigation, we are granted a view of the seedy underbelly of this Everytown, USA, complete with infidelity, violence, drug abuse and religious zealotry. It appears that in this universe, thought and belief are what creat the world around us and that the world can shift if you believe and "feel" hard enough. Characters were well-fleshed out and the journey of our main protagonsit, DeWitt, was fascinating to watch. An open ended resolution, but the story still feels complete.
