Half the World

This was a good follow-up to Half a King. The Shattered Sea is still a really interesting world, Abercrombie’s prose, while not among the best I’ve read, is pretty good, and the central story is an interesting, digestible political tale. I’m less fond of these protagonists than I was of Yarvi - neither are bad, Thorn definitely being more interesting than Brand, but neither as interesting as Yarvi’s perspective. Overall, a bit weaker than Half a King, but still a good read, and I’ll definitely be finishing the trilogy.
