At times this book was fairly good. At times I wanted to throw it against the wall. I guess King is past his prime. I am really disappointed in that he feels he has to resort to blatant product advertising. It is very distracting from the story to have an obvious blurb about a product he is pushing worked into the storyline. I really don't care if he is using s Fujitsu printer! This is supposed to be a follow up to The Shining but in reality this could have been written without any need to mention the past at all. The characters really don't grab you and make you feel for them. In fact, I found the villains more interesting than the heroes!
That said, read it. It was an ok book. I would just say, don't get your hopes up for anything spectacular.
