Pure PKD, "Martian Time-Slip," is a beautiful piece. He tells a story about a Mars colony that is supposed to relieve Earth's problems. Of course, this new colony is governed by a world organization, the UN. In PKD fashion, all of Earth's problems have been brought about by the colonists.
The only thing I had trouble with was the ending. Until then, it was a stock PKD Science Fantasy novel with a Time Travel twist. The ending puts it into the Weird (SF) category, which gives it the PKD signature.
For Philip K. Dick or A.E. Van Vogt fans, this is a must-read; others might want to think about it before they start.
