Truth in websiting - I only read half of this Ace Double - These Savage Futurians by Philip E. High. All I know about it is that I read it in the summer of 1969, and that I rated it "B -". But that was my teenage self, way back in an SF-drenched alternate adolescent suburban universe (my neighbour Marilyn subcribed to the Doubeday SF Book-of-the-month Club!!!).
Weren't those Ace doubles wonderful? Just turn it over, and you had a whole new book!
My rating system: I begin with one star being equivalent to a rating of "C -". Progressing upwards, I add ½ star for each step, up to the maximum 5 stars, which is equivalent to a rating of "A"+. I reserve ½ star for BOMBS, there being no option of zero or negative stars.
