I haven't found Regency SFF to my liking before this, but I think that this book was just different enough -- and irreverent enough to the "morals" of that time -- that I really enjoyed it.

Be aware that, despite this being a Fantasy of Manners, it is not a kind and gentle book -- I imagine that's a big part of why I liked it. The main characters are both three-dimensional and morally ambiguous, and there is a scene near the end which the reader may find a bit brutal.

Highly recommended for fans of fantasy featuring faerie which trancends the classism and the racism of the Regency era.
