A sophisticated tale about self-awareness, superficiality, truth and society - it was a bit like a superior fairytale where almost all protagonists are villains and the rest are their victims (much like real life, actually...). The prose is great and still holds up 120 years later, as I found the writing really absorbing. I had a hard time relating to most of the characters which was at first a problem but I learned to enjoy my outside-point-of-view. Especially Dorian Gray is one hell of a prick. Still, I cannot say that I didn't enjoy his development from innocent boy to a rather calculating and cruel fellow. I found it really interesting how critical Wilde was with his time and his own aestheticism. He was certainly an interesting fellow. I really loved the ending, btw.
