This one of my favorite SF movies. Beautifully sparse story telling and cinematography! The scenes and set design are so clean. Modern and minimalist it evokes the future without being in you face. No shiny silver space suits or overt trappings of SF. The SF is barely there. You see the rockets keep going up but you never actually see them etc.
Jude Law and Umma Thurman are excellent and even Ethan Hawk is good. Loved seeing Earnest Borgnine in this one.
This is a frightening and all to real a possible future.

I just picked up the special edition for 3 bucks at Big!Lots. I'm not sure the difference, but I've always liked the movie, and didn't own it before. Hopefully they didn't ruin anything with the changes.
