| If I try to access the site using Chrome I get the above error. Opera seems to work. |

| For me its neither a browser nor cookie problem (but I don't have Chrome).
I get the error whenever the address is www.worldswithoutend.com
The site works when the address is worldswithoutend.com without www.
No difference between http and https.
Same thing for any challenge page, book page, author page, forum thread (as far as I've tried). |

The problem there is that when I take out the www the site works, by going around the secure cert, but will throw a security warning when I try to log into the forum that I can't get past without changing my security settings. The tech guys just seem to have no understanding of what's happening with the site but they're looking into it still. We're working on moving the site if we don't get a resolution fast. More news when I have it. My apologies to all for the giant mess. |

| Trouble is you have to do it every time. Any timeline for a resolution on this one? |

Location: UK | Man, I've been assuming this site was down for about a week, since it stopped working on all my usual devices/platforms.
Today I thought to check Twitter, and found WWEnd tweeting as normal, then followed a blog.worldswithoutend.com link back here, which worked fine, but no links to www worked from there.
I ended up trying a different browser, and have, as you can see, been able to sign in. Is it maybe something to do with cookies? |

We have moved the site and databases etc. to the new host but we've run into some snags that we can't fix until after work hours. Tonight at best to resolve but more likely it won't be until tomorrow. Fingers crossed. |

| Hi, is there any progress on this? If I delete cookie and cache, or open in an InPrivate window, I can get to the site. But eventually it reverts back to the 500 server error.

Location: New Zealand | I'm finally in! I had no idea for I don't know how long what has been going on, and have had serious withdrawal and angst about not being able to mark off my challenge reads. I finally logged in on a computer I never logged in from before and here I am!
Other than clearing cookies is there anyway to get into the site from my normal computer? I only use Chrome, and don't want to have to go back to IE, or download anything else. |

| It happens on all the web browsers as far as I can tell. Clearing the browsing data and logging in each time seems to the only way to access the site. I log on much less than I used to. |

Location: New Zealand | I'm finding if I use Incognito Mode in Chrome it works okay, so I'll just do that until whatever has gone wrong fixes itself. It does feel odd though to go into super secret spy mode in order to reach this site! |

Location: Zagreb | In Chrome, there is a way to delete WWEnd cookies only, so one don't have to loose other sites settings. In IE, it's possible to uncheck 'remember me' every time and to answer 'no' to question if one wants IE to remember login data. Though it's still necesary to login every time, but not to delete cookies. Hope this can help a little bit. |

Location: Pennsylvania, United States | I haven't been on this site in awhile, but I logged on yesterday and was getting these errors on Firefox. It would load alright on chrome. Deleting the cookies fixes it but only for a short time and then it stops working again. Removing the www as suggested upthread seems to work, so I guess I'll keep doing that until this is fixed. Easier than repeatedly deleting the cookies. |

Location: Pennsylvania, United States | Okay scratch that. I'm now getting the errors On both chrome an firefox and the trick with removing the www isn't working anymore either. Deleting cookies still works, but it's very annoying. And sorry for double posting. I would have edited the first post but I don't see an option for that. |

Location: UK | On justified sinner's advice,I have downloaded Opera, and am using it only for WWEnd,so closing caches and cookies or whatever isnt so much work, and I'm not interfering with any of my other numerous sites.
What a shame, this site has been going from strength to strength ever since I joined in 2012,poor Dave and the gang must be tearing their hair out.
Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon. We need our regular fix of the best SF website around! |

We need our regular fix of the best SF website around! Thanks for the kind words Dusty! If this goes on much longer I'm going to go Biblical and tear out my beard. I'm not a tech guy so I can't do anything myself to get this damn thing fixed which makes me feel especially useless. I can say we are working through some issues now with the site transfer to our new host service but I can't give an estimate. And to add insult to injury this is pushing back the new site build as well. I'm trying like hell to keep positive about all this so I won't go into details about the drama behind all this but suffice to say that Hell truly is other people. It will get worked out eventually and we'll hopefully get back on track. Many thanks to everyone for your continued patience!

We got everything transferred over yesterday evening between 6 and 8 ish and it seems to be working as it should. I'll send out an email this evening to let everyone know but for today we want to just let folks find out on their own so we can monitor performance before we get hit by tons of people. Please let us know if you run into any issues with download speed or missing data etc. Fingers crossed we're past this unfortunate episode. |

Location: UK | It looks like (some of?) the current year's award lists have disappeared. There are no 2018 Hugo finalists, or Clarke finalists.
Also possibly something up with the time zone or daylight saving, but that's minor.
Edit: Oh, wait. The Clarke is there now, but I'm still not seeing the Hugo shortlist. Maybe I'll just give it some time to settle down.

I'll go through them now and identify them all and see about getting those updated ASAP. No idea why that would be the case but I think I know how to fix it. |

Location: Dallas, Texas | If you would please take a look at your personal data and let me know if you find anything missing. Maybe you tagged a book as read or posted a review a few weeks back and now it's gone or updated a reading challenge etc. Now that we're finding site wide errors I'm not feeling so confident about personal data. My own personal data is just fine but I've not posted any reviews lately etc. and I have no way of knowing if you're missing something without you all telling me. Thanks! |

| Administrator - 2018-08-03 6:27 AM If you would please take a look at your personal data and let me know if you find anything missing. In the last week, I've marked a couple of books as "Read" and a couple of others as "To Be Read" or "Reading", and those all seem to be okay. My RYO Challenges totals are okay as far as I can tell.
I'm not getting the 500 error anymore, and the site loads fine. I have also started receiving Forum post e-mail Notifications today.
